Why VelloDoc?
Common PDF jobs shouldn’t require an account, an app install or a paid conversion service. VelloDoc processes files on its server with open-source engines, keeps each upload in a temporary folder only while the job is running, and deletes it after the result is delivered.
No account, no stored library
There’s no sign-up and no personal file library. Each upload is handled as a single job: the file goes into a randomly named temporary folder, the tool runs, and the result is streamed back in the same response instead of published at a download link.
Deleted after delivery
The job folder is deleted when the download finishes or the connection closes, and failed jobs are removed immediately. If a job is interrupted, a cleanup that runs every minute deletes any job folder older than 30 minutes.
Processed by open-source engines
Conversions run on VelloDoc's server with established open-source software like PyMuPDF, Ghostscript, LibreOffice, Tesseract OCR and WeasyPrint. Your document isn't sent to a third-party conversion API.
Guard rails on risky inputs
The web-page converter refuses private, loopback and internal network addresses. Uploaded HTML is rendered with scripts removed and remote resources blocked, and SVG files that reference external or local files are rejected.

What happens to my files?
Files are uploaded over HTTPS to VelloDoc's server, processed in a temporary job folder and deleted as soon as the result is delivered. Failed jobs are deleted immediately, and an automatic cleanup removes an interrupted job after 30 minutes. The file security page has the details.
Do my files stay in my browser?
No. VelloDoc processes files on its server. This makes demanding work like OCR and office conversions possible. If a document must never leave your device, use offline software instead.
How large can my files be?
Each job can upload up to 80 MB and run for up to 5 minutes. The limits page lists every limit.
