These terms apply to your use of the VelloDoc website and its tools. By using VelloDoc, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who provides the service
VelloDoc is run by its operator, who’s responsible for the processing described on this page. You can reach the operator through the contact form.
The service
VelloDoc provides 82 free online tools for converting, organizing, optimizing, editing and securing PDF and other document files. No account is needed. Files are processed on VelloDoc's server and deleted as described in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You may use VelloDoc only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- upload files you don't own or aren't authorized to process;
- use the tools to open documents you aren't entitled to access or to get around lawful access controls;
- upload malware or content that's illegal to possess or share;
- attack, probe, overload or disrupt the service, or try to reach other people's jobs or the server itself;
- send automated requests at a volume that degrades the service for others;
- use VelloDoc to infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of anyone else.
Your files
You keep all rights to the files you upload and the results you download. You allow VelloDoc to store and process each file only for as long as needed to perform the tool action you requested. You're responsible for having the right to process your files and for how you use the results.
Share links and AI answers
When you create a share link, you're responsible for who you send it to and for having the right to share the file. Anyone with the link can open the file until it expires or you turn it off, and view only mode can't stop screenshots. VelloDoc can't recover a lost link. AI answers are written automatically from the text of your documents and can be wrong or incomplete. Check them against the pages they point to, and don't treat them as legal, financial or medical advice.
Security and signature tools
Unlock PDF is intended only for documents you're authorized to open. Redaction removes content only inside the areas you mark, so check the result before sharing it. Sign PDF places a visual typed signature. It isn't a certificate-based digital signature and must not be presented as one.
Accuracy of results
Conversions can't always be perfect. Layouts, fonts, tables, forms and embedded media can change, and OCR can misread text. Review every result before relying on it, especially for legal, financial, medical, archival or official purposes. VelloDoc provides technical document tools, not legal, accounting, archival or compliance advice.
Availability and limits
VelloDoc is provided free of charge and without a guaranteed level of availability. To keep the service reliable for everyone, uploads, processing time and request rates are limited as described on the limits page. Tools may change, be paused for maintenance or be withdrawn at any time.
Intellectual property
The VelloDoc name, website design and written content belong to VelloDoc's operator. The open-source software used for processing remains subject to its own licenses.
Third-party content
Web Page to PDF retrieves pages from addresses you choose. VelloDoc doesn't control those websites and isn't responsible for their content. Make sure you're allowed to save the pages you convert.
Disclaimer
As far as the law allows, VelloDoc is provided "as is" and "as available". There are no warranties of any kind, including that it will suit a particular purpose, give accurate results or always be available.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, VelloDoc's operator isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from use of the service. Keep your own copies of important documents: VelloDoc doesn't store your files and can't recover them.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection or other laws that can't be excluded by agreement.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the service changes, and the date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continuing to use VelloDoc after an update means you accept the updated terms.
