CSV is how data leaves almost every system: bank statements, CRM exports, survey results and inventory lists. Opened raw it's a wall of commas, and opened in a spreadsheet it invites edits. CSV to PDF renders the data as a bordered table with a header row, so an export becomes a document you can print, attach or file without anyone reformatting it.
How to use CSV to PDF
- Add the CSV file.
- Select Convert to PDF.
- Download the PDF table.
- Check a few rows against the original, especially dates and long text fields.
Separators and headers
Not every CSV uses commas.
- Semicolons, tabs and pipes: Spreadsheets in many European locales export with semicolons, and some systems use tabs or pipes.
- Detected automatically: VelloDoc inspects the start of the file to detect the separator, and quoted values containing separators stay together in one cell.
- The header row: The first row is treated as the header, shaded, and repeated at the top of every page, so long tables stay readable when printed or scrolled.
Wide and long tables
- Wide tables go landscape: Tables with more than seven columns are laid out on landscape pages to give each column more room, and cells with long text wrap within their column.
- The row limit: Up to 5,000 rows are included. When a file has more, the PDF states how many rows the export contained so nobody mistakes it for the complete data set.
- For very large exports, filtering the data before converting produces a document people will actually read.
Values are shown as text
- Exactly as written: CSV files carry no formatting, so every value appears exactly as written in the file: numbers aren't rounded, dates aren't reformatted and formulas aren't calculated.
- For formats, totals or charts: If the data needs number formats, totals or charts, format it in a spreadsheet and use Excel to PDF instead.

Limitations to know
CSV to PDF shows values exactly as written, with no number formatting or calculations, and includes up to 5,000 rows. Files are read as UTF-8, very wide tables can still be cramped even on landscape pages, and the tool requires WeasyPrint on the server.

My CSV uses semicolons. Will it work?
Yes. Semicolon, comma, tab and pipe separators are detected automatically from the contents of the file.
Does the header row repeat on every page?
Yes. The first row is treated as the header and repeated at the top of each page of the table.
Is there a row limit?
The PDF includes up to 5,000 rows. If the file has more, a note after the table states how many rows the file contained.
Why do special characters look wrong?
The file is read as UTF-8. Exports saved in an older encoding may show odd symbols, so re-export the CSV as UTF-8 and convert it again.
